Lost Touch: How a Year Without Hugs Affects Our Mental Health

Touch has a huge impact on our psychological and physical well-being, and for many, the lack of social contact is taking an extremely negative toll on their mental health. In fact, a recent survey of 40,000 people from 112 countries, found that the three most common words used to describe touch were: “comforting”, “warm” and “love”. So without these key emotions, it's easy to see why so many of us are suffering.
